Board President

Nancy Neider

I call the Wasatch Front home, having been born and raised in the shadows of these mountains.

I love several things including the out of doors, running, cycling traveling and reading. It wasn’t until my boys started school that I gained an appreciation for the Teaching profession.

Although my education and career were in law enforcement and business, having become a parent when I was “older” has taught me more about learning than anything else in this world. I am a proud Mom of three boys who attend OPA and I have found many great associates, parents, and friends at this school. I enjoy the association with OPA and the leadership skills that I find in everyone here. I look forward to a few great years serving on the board.

Vice President

Steve Ballard

Steve Ballard has three children who attend OPA. He is the owner/operator of Sonora Grill. Steve thinks that the hospitality business is a perfect fit for him. He loves food and he loves serving people. He loves the fast pace. He loves the challenge of succeeding and making things better.

Steve received his BA in Organizational Management from Utah State University.

Steve has a great love for Ogden and the community that he lives in. In addition to the OPA Board, he currently serves as the board chairman for the Ogden-Weber Convention and Visitor Bureau and as a board member of the Ogden Weber Chamber and Downtown Ogden Inc.

Her service on the board reflects a desire to see OPA continue to progress, improving on the high academics accessible to our children.

She currently resides in Ogden with her husband and two children. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys cooking with her family, knitting, and reading.
