OPAPO President

Hello – my name is Matthew Roper. My wife and I have four children: Traelyn (14), Kennedi (10), Dustin (3) and Lucas (infant). Our girls have been going to OPA/MOPA since 2008 when we were excited to be accepted into the schools. In September of 2008 I attended an OPAPO meeting to become more involved. Shortly after, I was elected as Treasurer of OPAPO and have enjoyed that position for the last two years. With the growth of the schools, we decided as a parent organization to create two separate parent organizations and I was elected to serve as President of the OPA Elementary Parents Organization.

Besides being on the OPA Board and President of the OPAPO Elementary, I stay at home full-time with my children. I run my own professional landscape lighting business – Nite Lite Designs – which allows me to work in the summer when I want and still take care of my kids. I enjoy watching NASCAR, camping, shooting, and just spending time with my family. I am very excited to watch the growth of OPA and have our children attend through all grade levels in this fine education program.
