Hello, my name is Penney Hernandez and I am the Resource Site Coordinator for grades kindergarten through fourth. My family and I moved to Ogden, Utah in 2001 from Laramie, Wyoming. My husband and I are Wyoming natives. We moved to Ogden because of my husband’s employment. I have a diverse educational and employment background. I received my BS in Health Science (Medical Technology) from the University of Wyoming. In addition, I attended Weber State University and received my certification as a Special Education Teacher.
Our two children are a true blessing. Since, I have become a mommy, my primary focus is on my family, and I worked part-time for Intermountain Health Care until 2007. In August, 2007, I applied for a Special Education Paraprofessional position at Ogden Preparatory Academy. In August, 2010, I became one of OPA’s Resource Site Coordinators. I truly enjoy teaching and learning new concepts that will help all students.
I enjoy spending time with my family and experiencing all that Utah has to offer recreationally. We have met some wonderful families and friends here in Utah.
