Ms. Caballero
1st Grade

I was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic on January 24, 1962. My family moved to Puerto Rico after the Dominican Revolution. There, I lived until I married and moved to England with Air Force orders. I obtained a Bachelors degree at the University of Puerto Rico in Human Studies, with concentration in Foreign Languages.

The military reassigned us to Hill AFB, Utah in 1987. In 1993 I registered at Weber State College, to obtain a certificate in education. I graduated in 1998 after having worked part time and taking care of my two sons for four years.

I taught third grade locally, at Dee Elementary, servicing the Migrant community of Ogden for three years.

I moved to Miami, Florida in 2001 to be close to my parents who had been living there for a few years. In Florida, I taught Spanish both as a native and a second language. For the last two years I have had a 5th grade and more recently first grade classes.

I am very happy to be back in the Beehive State and more so to work at this magnificent school.
